Graceland Gift Set

The original “Elvis Presley’s Graceland Gift Set” (56.55041, set of 6) was introduced in 2000. The set included a reproduction of Elvis’ Memphis home, Graceland, a 1955 Pink Cadillac Fleetwood, (like the one he bought his mother) wrought iron gate, original holiday lawn decorations and two sets of 3 twinkling Mylar trees. The set was specifically retired on January 8, 2001, which would have been Elvis Presley’s 66th Birthday.

For most of us, the love of everything Elvis has never wavered.

Elvis purchased the almost 14-acre estate that included a 10,000 square foot Colonial Revival styled mansion named “Graceland” in 1957. He made the purchase for $102,500. It became his home for the next 20 years and has seen a number of changes and additions to suit the lifestyle of the “king of rock and roll.” His parents, Vernon and Gladys and grandmother, Minnie Mae also lived at Graceland.

When fans visit the mansion, they see the décor and furnishings that were selected by Elvis when he lived there. At Christmastime, the staff adds Elvis’ Christmas decorations similar to what Elvis’ staff would have done, right down to the gifts beneath the flocked Christmas tree. Clearly, Elvis was a very generous person and loved to give gifts to family and friends. It’s a wonderful time to visit the mansion.

Christmas at Graceland

The only place off limits on the tour is the upstairs where Elvis died. When he was alive the upstairs was also off limits to guests. He had even had a two-way mirror installed so he could see who was visiting on the main floor of the mansion. Elvis truly valued his privacy.

In 2023 Department 56 partnered with Elvis Presley Enterprises to introduce the “Graceland Collection.” The first piece designed for the series was “Christmas at Graceland”, set of 2. This included a faithful rendering of the mansion all decked out with blue Christmas lights, a favorite of Elvis, and the famous wrought iron gates that have greeted visitors for decades. Also introduced in 2023 was the “Lisa Marie”, Elvis’ private jet which visitors to Graceland can visit.

We were delighted to add a two-piece set called “Graceland Stables” in 2024. Built behind the mansion both pieces are decorated with Elvis’ signature blue holiday lights and housed several horses that Elvis owned. The first horse he purchased was for Priscilla, a black Quarter horse named Domino. Later he found the Palamino he had always wanted. Renamed “Rising Sun,” the horse became Elvis' personal mount, and the horse barn soon bore the name “House of the Rising Sun”. (Both the “Christmas at Graceland” and the “Lisa Marie Plane” can be purchased when visiting Graceland or through the Department 56 website. Other pieces like the stables and accessories are available through local retailers, online and at Graceland.)

Department 56 is pleased to add these new pieces to the “Graceland Collection” for The Original Snow Village. As a stand-alone vignette and tribute to Elvis Presley, or integrated into your Snow Village collection, these new pieces are a must have for the Elvis fan and the serious Village collector.

If you haven’t visited Graceland to see the mansion and the grounds in person, we invite you to join hundreds of collectors who will be visiting May 4 – 7, 2026 to help the National Council of 56 Clubs (NCC) celebrate the 50th anniversary of Department 56. Visit the Graceland Mansion and the Enesco Gallery and Gift Shop where historical displays of all of Department 56 Villages are on display. The event will be held at the Guesthouse at Graceland Hotel right next door to Elvis’ Graceland Mansion. The Village artists and other Department 56 personnel will be on hand for this special event. More information can be obtained through the NCC website at National Council of 56 Clubs. We hope to see you there!
