Robb Miller joined Department 56 in 2025 as a veteran artist in product design. His first introductions, The Temple of the Enlightened Hag and The Clumsy Cortège, typify his artistic talent, sense of humor, and storytelling ability.

Educated in graphic design and animation, Robb masterfully moves between illustration and dimensional design, allowing him to approach Village pieces with narrative intent and structural precision. His artistic versatility has enabled him to create memorable pieces for all our core lines thus far … a rare feat for even our most seasoned artists.

“I’ve always been drawn to characters and the stories they tell. As a kid, I imagined working for Disney or Peanuts, and today I enjoy designing for those licenses while simultaneously creating original pieces for our core Villages. I also embrace the shifting needs of our series – some creative is more whimsical, some more grounded in reality – as I find the contrast keeps the work interesting and fun!”

Department 56, the standard bearer in lighted collectible Villages, is part of the Enesco family of brands and is based in Eden Prairie, Minnesota.
